Onondaga County/ Empire State Park Passes

Looking to get out and enjoy the warm weather and sunshine this summer? Well, stop by Solvay Public Library and pickup one of our Onondaga County Explorer Passes! With it, you have free access to the following parks:

  • Beaver Lake Nature Center – valid for one personal vehicle
  • Highland Forest – valid for up to four visitors
  • Oneida Shores Park – valid for one personal vehicle
  • Pratt’s Falls Park – valid for up to four visitors
  • Rosamond Gifford Zoo – valid for up to four visitors

County Parks Pass Rules:

  • Loan period is three days
  • Pass is non-holdable and non-renewable
  • Only one pass per library card
  • Must be 18 years or older to check out a pass – This doesn’t mean that a parent/adult can check out a pass using a child’s card – the pass can only be checked out on an adult’s card.
  • The fee to replace a lost or damaged pass is $65.00
  • Passes must be returned in person at the circulation desk – cannot be put in the book drop

 

New York State Empire Passes

Empire Passes can be used at any NEW YORK STATE park listed on the NYS Parks website

This includes, locally:

  • Chittenango Falls State Park
  • Clark Reservation State Park
  • Fair Haven Beach State Park
  • Green Lakes State Park

Empire Pass Rules

  • Available for three day loan, no renewals
  • Non holdable, non renewable
  • 1 pass per library card
  • Must be 18 years or older to borrow
  • Passes must be picked up at the library and returned in person
  • Lost Pass Fee varies by owning library
  • Overdue fine is $1 per day for passes borrowed for the Syracuse city libraries. Suburban libraries have different overdue fees.
