You may recognize me as the goofy guy dressed in costume at different kid’s programs, the man at the front desk all the time or the person running around the computers pretending to fix things. For now, you can know me as the new manager of Solvay Public Library. I have worked at the library for 12 years now and it has been my pleasure to get to know all the patrons and residents of Solvay and Geddes better. I have been a Solvay person almost my entire life, going to all three schools since kindergarten, being the last 8th grade class at Hazard Street Middle School and finally graduating from Solvay High School. After getting my Bachelor’s at Le Moyne College majoring in accounting, I quickly realized I was not meant to be an accountant. I got a job being a part-time clerk here at Solvay Library and the rest is history.
If anyone has any suggestions or questions on programming, our collection or anything about the library, please do not hesitate to email me at email@example.com, call me at 315-468-2441 or stop into the library to chat. My office is always open, although I will not always be in it because I plan to continue all my different programs and working the desk whenever I can. You’re not getting rid of me that easily.
Thank you all,
Brian Rowlands, Library Manager
