Friends of the Solvay Public Library provides vital support and improvements for the Library by:

• bringing crucial library issues to the attention of the community and elected officials

• promoting public knowledge of library resources, services, and programs

• raising much-needed funds through book and bake sales and other events for the purchase of new books, magazines, publications and other important materials

• developing cultural and literacy programs at the Library

Friends members are area residents and library enthusiasts that pay a nominal annual dues to join and are willing to devote a lot or a little amount of time to the group. They hold monthly meetings the THIRD Thursday of the month, as well as sponsor the Library Social for Adults the SECOND THURSDAY of every month. All are welcomed to attend, even non-members.
