Welcome to the Solvay Public Library!  We are pleased to have you visit us, and I am honored to serve as the new Director of SPL, a library that provides many fun and interesting services for everyone here in the Village of Solvay and the Town of Geddes.  My role as Director is to ensure that our patrons will always receive the very best service possible from our creative and supportive staff.  At our Library, we strive to make every encounter an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

The Library’s website provides all residents with useful and convenient library information, services, activities, and links to other internet sites to assist you in your research and recreational needs.  The collection of our Library contains more than 30,000 books and includes circulating magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, Playaways, and music CDs. Computers for public use and Internet access are available, as well as WiFi (wireless) access.

The Solvay Public Library offers a wide variety of entertaining and original programming to the public, including computer instruction classes, highly imaginative children’s programming, exciting teen activities, a variety of book discussions and some fascinating programs for adults.

Part of our ongoing improvement process involves reviewing comments from customers. As a result, I value your opinion of the job we are doing. I am always open to suggestions for improving service and I certainly welcome your input.  At any time, if you have a question or concern, please feel free to contact me at (315) 468-2441 or e-mail at If we can be of service to you in any way, please let us know.
