Enjoy your Monday morning by relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea while working on your puzzle and socialize with others who enjoy a good crossword puzzle too! Puzzles keep your mind active so come to the library and flex your brain muscles! We’ll have a variety of crossword puzzles available today in the Hazard Room.

We’ll provide the coffee, puzzles, pencils, pens and dictionaries. Drop in when you can and stay for as little or as long as you want. Free and no registration is required.

In honor of Memorial Day, Solvay Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 30th.

Thank you for all of those that have given their lives in the armed forces, as well as all the veterans and those who are currently in the military.

Every Tuesday  at 10:15 a.m. we will have Toddler Story Time for prek-k and younger aged kids. Music, reading and other entertainment will also be provided during this time.

Teen Scene is an after school program every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.for young adults ages 12-18. Crafts, gaming or just hanging out with friends. Come in and grab a schedule to see all the different activities schedule for the month!

Blastoff with Brian Gaming is an after school gaming time from ages 5-16 held every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. The First Thursday is all about electronic gaming, so bring your tablets or smart phones! The Second Thursday is nothing but board games, bring in your favorite to share! The Third Thursday is all about games of motion and being physical. The last Game Day of the month is always special games and expect a treat!

Craft Day is every Friday at 4:00. There are different home made and some edible crafts for all ages. Check our Calendar of Events to see the theme of the day!

What Are You Reading?


Tuesday, May 10th at 6:00 p.m., come join a different kind of book club!  Instead of reading an assigned book, gather with fellow book lovers to share current and favorite reads, chat about books that changed your life or the book you just couldn’t put down.  Swap suggestions for good books, and share your love of reading in a casual book club experience.  It’s a great opportunity to socialize, find new authors, and get recommendations about some great reads.  Free and no registration required.
