Be Snow Smart!

* If you need to renew library items, you can call the automated phone system at 435-1430 or online at www.solvaylibrary.org.

* If you cannot pick up a hold on time, due to illness or inclement weather, please let our staff know and we can try to extend the hold period. This Library allows “card copies” so family members or neighbors can pick-up your books. Ask our staff about this special service.

The Village Mayor asks that:
* If you have a fire hydrant in front of your residence, please keep it clear of snow. It may be your house that needs it! The Fire Company and Highway Department try to do this, but staffing prevents getting to all of them in a timely fashion when the snowfall is severe. They are busy answering calls and clearing the roads at that time.

* Park in designated areas only so that the plows can clear your road without hindrance AND prevent your car from being damaged.

* Help your disabled or elderly neighbors with snow removal, errands, or other needs when possible.
